Sun Protective Clothing Adds UPF in Your Attire

Skin cancer and melanoma have reached to the epidemic level and estimations say that 1 from every 5 Americans will soon get affected with skin diseases. Sun tanning are still going on continuously and increasing day by day which gives rise to skin diseases. Full sleeves shirts and full-size pants are mostly avoided by people because these clothes make them look frumpy. Now, one and only option remain to get protected from sun is to adopt sun protective fashion. Sun protective fashion means to add UPF in your wardrobe and get protected from sun.

Before you expose yourself to the sun, you need to safeguard your skin from skin cancer and aging issues. UPF is the only factor that can be your guard to protect against sun radiations. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It works similar like SPF (Sun Protection Factor). SPF is added to sunscreen to make you protected from sun. Similarly, UPF added to clothing with a purpose to block UV rays. Sun Protective Clothing is made of special kind of fabric that contains high amount of UPF. Nylon, Polyester and Lycra are some types of popular UPF powered fabric that are used to produce sun protective clothing and accessories.

Sun spreads two types of radiations UVA and UVB. UVA is responsible for visible signs of aging and UVB is responsible for sun burn. UVA is always present there in all seasons while UVB becomes active in summer season especially between time periods of 10am – 2pm. Till today, in many cases it has found that UVA is highly responsible for skin cancer diseases. Sunscreens are not able to protect you from UVA radiations. UPF contains the properties of protection against both UVA as well as UVB. Therefore, sun protective clothing and UV protection swimwear are the best options for all seasons. Not only girls, but boys also need to wear sun protective clothes for boys because they are also unsafe from sun rays.

As soon as summer arrives, we go to shop for swimwear because we have lots of plans to visit beaches, swimming pools and other watery places. Sun rays become more effective on our skin when we are swimming under the water. Normal swimwear can’t protect us from UV rays. We need to switch from normal to UV Protection Swimwear which doesn’t allow the sun rays to enter in our body.
